Abstract

In this research-note we present the study titled «Narratives of adolescent mother in the current Spain» published at the end of 2017 which constitutes an up-to-date and in-depth analysis on adolescent motherhood in our country. Early pregnancy and motherhood are urgent but not so visible problems of public health in Spain, both related to affective and sexual risk behaviors by underage girls. They face unpleased and, often, unexpected situations that may seriously disrupt their present life as well as their future plans of emancipation. In our study, we focus on their stories in order to understand how they have pursued the conciliation between maternal commitments and their personal, familiar, formative and social experiences as young women
